What is PFMS?
Public Financial Management System (PFMS) initially started as a Plan scheme named CPSMS of the Planning Commission in 2008-09 as a pilot in four States of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab and Mizoram for four Flagship schemes e.g. MGNREGS, NRHM, SSA and PMGSY.

This is the list of scholarship facilities that are released from the PFMS Public Financial Management System portal.
Key Features of Scholarship Portal
** An integrated portal for end-to-end paperless workflow for scholarship application processing for crediting scholarships directly to the bank accounts/ Aadhaar linked bank accounts of the beneficiaries and linked with payment and accounting system of Government of India using its linkages with Aadhaar Payment Bridge (APB) and interface with CBS of 105 banks.
** Portal provides facility for onetime registration of students and upload of required documents for processing scholarship application at various stages.
Documents once submitted and verified by concerned authorities become permanent record of the student till completion of education. The portal provides SMS / email alerts and provides comprehensive MIS to all stakeholders.
